Moonlight and Night Time Paddle Tours

This is an exciting new tour we are putting together for a hand full of dates together for the 2008 kayak season. Paddling at night offers a different perspective of kayaking and the environment you are kayaking in. Sounds seem amplified even more across the water, the slap of a seals flippers on top of the water seem to echo forever. Night kayaking is a great time to enjoy the reflections of the moon waving along the water. On dark night where moon light is scarce look for sign of bioluminescence in the water. Sparkles of light produced as microorganisms re-emit photons of light stored from the days sunlight.

This is truly an amazing kayak experience.

Itinerary

When you make your reservation we will email you the time to meet at our shop in downtown Friday Harbor. Our shop is upstairs in the red building next the the ferry dock. You can also Contact Us for times of departure. Each departure time will be slightly diiferent as it willl be based on sunset and moon rise. You should eat dinner before the tour as the tour will not be over before in town establishments close.
